As a private patient you have the choice to use private medical insurance to pay for your treatment, or to pay for it direct using your own funds. Details of how to prepare for payment are summarised below but if you have any questions, please contact us on 020 7046 8030 for further information.

Self paying patients

Mr Hodges is happy to see self-funding patients. Many of the private hospitals I work at offer package prices for surgical procedures to give you the peace of mind that there will be no hidden charges. You will always receive a full written quote for any treatment options that we discuss.

Insured patients

We welcome patients with their own medical insurance policy or who have medical insurance as part of a company scheme. Mr Hodges is registered with all the major insurance companies including:

  • Aviva
  • BUPA (Mr Hodges is fee assured)
  • Cigna
  • Pru health
  • Vitality
  • WPA

Important steps you need to follow

You will need to do the following before you can start your private treatment:

  • Check you are covered for the procedure (not all policies cover everything).
  • Get a referral. This may be from you GP, dentist or another specialist.
  • Once you have seen Mr Hodges you may require tests or treatment. At this stage contact your insurance company again to ensure these will be covered by your policy.

Depending on the insurance company Mr Hodges’ secretary will send you the invoice or send it directly to the insurance company. Your insurance company will tell you how they will pay the bill.
